No Worries Now is a non-profit that is dedicated to give every teen with a life threatening illness a chance to dance at prom. We work with hosptials, organizations, vendors, and other companies from around the bay to make our proms the best.

The boards of directors and advisers are dynamic with unique talents and perspectives.



After graduating salutatorian from Birmingham High, Fred is now studying at Cornell University. He just finished writing for the Wall Street Journal Classroom Edition. He enjoys reading, museums, traveling, movies, and all types of music.

Michelle Lee Flores J.D. – After graduating from University of California at Los Angeles, School of Law, Michelle focuses her practice on employment matters including both litigation and compliance.  She serves as primary counsel in all aspects of litigation, including jury and bench trials, arbitration and mediation, including those involving wrongful termination, employment discrimination, claims of unfair competition and class action wage and hour lawsuits.  Michelle's mother was diagnosed with a similar form of osteosarcoma.

Morris Hayes- Morris has been in the music business as a professional player and producer for more than 25 years, working with many top artists such as Prince, The Time, Mazarati, Carmen Electra, Maceo Parker, Lenny Kravitz, Chaka Khan & many others. He is currently producing various new artists’ projects and becoming more involved in the film & television industries writing original scores, source material & trailer music.  He has received several multi-platinum & gold albums. He has also done record breaking concerts, television, movie appearances & the half-time show at Super Bowl XLI with Prince. He is currently exploring the world of film!

Robert Scarf- Robert is a Director at Bridgeport Continuing Education, a legal publisher and provider of continuing legal education. Robert founded Bridgeport in 1998 and has overseen it's growth to become the largest California-based commercial legal education provider. Bridgeport has been credited with providing legal education to over 8,000 practicing attorneys. Outside of work, Robert enjoys exercising and spending time with his children and his collies. He is an avid Laker fan and a reluctant Raider fan.

Troy I. Hoffman- Troy is Founder and CEO of Simpluris, Inc.  A meaningful achievement of his was building a Youth Organization that grew from 10 Kids to over 600. Troy enjoys helping people reach their full potential and by serving on the board of the Shiri Foundation, he will be able to help children and make a medical impact.


Catherine Scarf, Ph.D- Catherine is the Chief Psychologist for the North Los Angeles Regional Center where she oversees the psychological assessments of 15,000 developmentally disabled children and adults. She also has a private practice in Santa Monica and has been appointed by the Los Angeles Superior Court as an expert in Autism. Dr. Scarf is also the mother of 19 year old twins and enjoys spending time with them when they are home from college.

Courtney Lauren Kanner- Courtney has worked for the Starlight Children’s Foundation as their Senior Program and Event Coordinator for the last three years. She has coordinated over forty events for Starlight that ranged from a Holiday Party at the CBS Soundstage of the popular television show, "The Price is Right" to a "Dodger Day" for the Starlight families. She is currently, the Outreach Manager for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Her hobbies include tennis, poker, reading, writing, scrap booking, planning events, volunteering for children’s charities, and skiing.

Marta Belcher- Marta is currently a student at University of California, Berkeley. She has her own column for the Daily Californian. She is also a Coordinator for the SHINE Mentorship Program. She was a Copy Editor, Staff Writer and Intern Director for Outlook Newspaper (largest community weekly in the San Gabriel and San Fernando Valleys, publishing in La Canada Flintridge and Pasadena). She enjoys wandering around in museums and gardens, exploring cities, sushi, napping in beautiful places.
